History

The Coolidge Mexican Cemetery is the Catholic section, known locally as the Mexican Cemetery, of the larger Armour Cemetery located about a mile south of Coolidge in northern Limestone County. Armour grew from the community laid out by James Armour in 1882 on land once part of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church tract. While the older sections are kept up by the Coolidge Cemetery Association, the Mexican section has traditionally been maintained by the families of those buried there.
