History
The Wolf Creek Heritage Museum in Lipscomb preserves the history of Lipscomb County and Panhandle settlement. The Lipscomb County Historical Society formed in 1981, and the museum—first housed in the Lipscomb schoolhouse—broke ground on its current building in 1999. Its collections include photographs of early citizens, ranching gear, barbed wire, saddles, records of the devastating 1947 and 1949 tornadoes, and Native American art.
