History

Muncy Cemetery is one of the small historic burial grounds associated with Tascosa, the vanished frontier town that served as the seat of Oldham County from 1880. It lies in the open Canadian River ranch country near the old townsite, an area that emptied out after the railroad bypassed Tascosa in 1887 and was later absorbed into Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. The cemetery survives as a relic of the settlement era on the old Tascosa range.
