History
The Bridge City Historical Museum occupies the former Prairie View Teacherage, a circa-1930 building that once housed the school principal and unmarried teachers of the Prairie View School. Bridge City ISD donated the structure, which the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce restored and dedicated on June 12, 1996. The museum displays photographs and artifacts from the town's history, from its days as the community of Prairie View to its growth as Bridge City.
