History
Colonel Alfred G. Cooper (1817-1883), a Tennessee native, was a soldier in three wars: the Seminole War in 1836, the Mexican War as a captain in 1846, and the Civil War as a lieutenant colonel in the Confederate army. He is buried near Weatherford in Parker County, and the state placed his marker in 1936.
