Wheelock Cemetery lies in the historic community of Wheelock, one of the oldest settlements in Robertson County, founded in 1833 by Eleazar Louis Ripley Wheelock. The surrounding town predates the 1837 organization of Robertson County itself. The cemetery reflects the long history of this early Central Texas community.
