History

Old Algerita Cemetery sits north of the Algerita community on the south bank of Richland Creek in west-central San Saba County, near Richland Springs. Established in the 1860s on land known as the Duncan Place, owned by the Duncan family since the mid-1850s, it has served the surrounding community ever since and is recognized among the county's historic cemeteries.
