History

Fluvanna Cemetery serves the small Scurry County community of Fluvanna, a townsite staked out by realty promoters ahead of the Roscoe, Snyder and Pacific Railway, which reached the site in 1908. By 1911 the town supported a thirty-room hotel, a lumberyard, a cotton gin, and other businesses, and its cemetery grew alongside the community, today holding several hundred graves of local pioneers and residents.
