History

The Swenson Memorial Museum fills two floors of the historic 1920 First National Bank building in Breckenridge, seat of Stephens County. Its collection of pioneer artifacts, photographs, and vintage room reproductions emphasizes the region's dramatic 1918-20 oil boom, with an adjacent J.D. Sandefer Oil Annex displaying oilfield equipment. Exhibits also include a military area and a music room of vintage instruments, radios, and record players.
