History
Established in 1980 and housed in the former Santa Fe Railroad depot in Tulia, the Swisher County Archives and Museum preserves the county's ranching, farming and oil history. Its exhibits include a JA Ranch line cabin, a blacksmith shop, a schoolhouse and a reconstructed early-1900s house furnished with period pieces, along with a research library for local history and genealogy. The museum hosts an annual Heritage Day celebration and Christmas open house.
