History

The Henderson Street Bridge, built in 1930 across the Clear Fork of the Trinity River in Fort Worth, was part of the original Jacksboro Highway project and provided access to North Fort Worth. The four-lane reinforced concrete bridge, built by the City of Fort Worth for $241,000, features a graceful 124-foot arch and opened to traffic on August 11, 1931. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Historic Bridges of Texas on March 21, 2011.
