History

The Mansfield Historical Museum and Heritage Center tells the story of Mansfield from its early settlers through displays and artifacts. It occupies the restored W. B. McKnight Building, named for Dr. William Burney McKnight, one of the city's first physicians. The museum opened in 2002 and was run by the Mansfield Historical Society until 2018, when the city assumed operations; admission is free.
