History
The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame collects, preserves, and exhibits the roughly 5,000-year history of bowling, from ancient origins to the modern sport. First opened in 1972 in Wisconsin, it moved to St. Louis in 1984 before relocating to the International Bowling Campus in Arlington's Entertainment District, where its 18,000-square-foot facility held its grand opening on January 25, 2010. The move followed the United States Bowling Congress's decision to headquarter in Arlington alongside the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America.
