History

Cope Cemetery was a small family and community burial ground in southeastern Tarrant County, near Day-Miar Road in the Mansfield area, established on land stepped off by pioneer Iddo Anderson Cope. The earliest known burial was that of Nick Wisrock, and for years old-timers gathered twice a year to maintain the fenced pasture site. The graves were later relocated to Skyvue Memorial Gardens, a Mansfield-area cemetery opened in 1953.
