History
Built about 1852, the Aynesworth-Wright House is a Greek Revival residence originally erected in Austin by Baptist preacher and cabinetmaker Isaiah H. Aynesworth as a two-room house with an enclosed dog-run hallway. Dr. Joseph Wright, a physician and surveyor, purchased the property in 1855. Threatened with demolition in 1977, the house was saved and relocated, and it now stands at Pioneer Farms; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
