History

The Evans-Hamilton Farm Cemetery is a small family burial ground on former farmland roughly five miles west of U.S. 183 near Leander, in northwestern Travis County. Among its few marked graves is that of pioneer settler Sidney Smith Evans (1832-1877), a native of Putnam County, Tennessee, who was buried here in 1877. The private cemetery holds only a handful of documented interments.
