History

Enochs Cemetery, also called Steiner Ranch Cemetery, is a small pioneer burial ground on the former Colorado River homestead lands that later became the Steiner Ranch and River Place developments in northwest Travis County. Jason and Eliza Enoch are among the roughly seven people with marked graves at the fenced, roughly 80-by-80-foot site; another interment, Margaret McCormick, lent her name to a nearby neighborhood. As was common in that era, more people are likely buried here than the surviving headstones indicate.
