History

The 1915 Adrian House, a Western bungalow filled with period furnishings and clothing, is part of McCamey's Mendoza Trail Museum complex, which opened in 1966 and is named for Spanish explorer Juan Dominguez de Mendoza. The grounds also hold an early Santa Fe Railroad depot and exhibits of oil-boom mementos, Native American artifacts, and Wild West relics, reflecting McCamey's origins as a 1920s oil boomtown.
