History

The Briscoe Art and Antique Collection is displayed, unusually, within the First State Bank of Uvalde. Assembled during their world travels by former Texas Governor Dolph Briscoe and his wife Janey, it includes works by masters such as Rembrandt and Gainsborough alongside Western art, bronzes, and antiques. The pieces line the bank's main floor, viewable during regular business hours and by guided tour.
