History

Scarborough Cemetery, west of Brenham, consists of a single grave, that of Nancy S. Scarborough, set in a wild rose thicket on the embankment near where U.S. Highway 290 crosses the former Southern Pacific Railroad. It is one of the many small family burial sites cataloged by researchers documenting Washington County's more than 280 cemeteries.
