History

Oak Grove Cemetery is the municipal burial ground of Graham, the Young County seat. Its historically segregated section, the Oak Grove Colored Cemetery, was established on land donated by Addie Graham on May 7, 1921, and is recognized as the only African American cemetery in Young County. It received a Historic Texas Cemetery designation in 2024 after a ground-penetrating-radar survey identified dozens of unmarked graves.
