History
The History Center in Diboll is a public history and archives center dedicated to preserving the record of East Texas, with particular focus on the lumber industry and the company towns of the Southern Pine Lumber Company and Temple Lumber Company. Its holdings include some 5,000 cubic feet of manuscripts, more than a million photographs, roughly 20,000 maps, and hundreds of transcribed oral histories. Outside sits Engine 13 of the former Texas Southeastern Railroad, and admission is free.
