The Armstrong County Museum in Claude preserves the history of this Texas Panhandle county from a main building one block from the 1912 Classical Revival courthouse. Its complex includes the historic 1915 Gem Theatre, still used for live performances, an art gallery, and the ranch house of cattleman Charles Goodnight. The museum documents the county's ranching heritage and the settlement of the region.
