History
The Barclay-Bryan House at South 25th Street and Avenue H in Temple was built between 1913 and 1915 for businessman William Anderson Barclay at a reported cost of $65,000. The Colonial Revival home is distinguished by twelve columns, and from 1933 to 1984 it operated as an inn known as the Colonial Courts Tourist Home under owner Louis J. Bryan. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
