History

The Ele Baggett House at 1019 North Main Street in Belton was built in 1893 as a near-mirror image of the home of Ele's father, Silas Baggett, which stands across North Main Street. The two matching residences are among Belton's most recognizable historic landmarks. The Ele Baggett House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 26, 1990.
