History

James Nathaniel Fisk (1815-1876), born in Swanton, Vermont, served in the Army of the Republic of Texas from March 1836 to November 1837. His 1936 Texas Centennial marker stands in the Alamo Masonic Cemetery in San Antonio, where he is remembered among the soldiers of the Texas Revolution.
