History

The Blanco Pioneer Museum, opened in 2009, occupies a historic house one block from the courthouse square in downtown Blanco and presents the town's early history and Western heritage. Its exhibits feature mementos and artifacts borrowed from longtime local residents, so each object carries a personal story connecting visitors to Blanco's past. The museum sits near the Old Blanco County Courthouse of 1885-1886, the centerpiece of the town square.
