History
The Bosque County Courthouse in Meridian was completed in 1886 to the designs of Fort Worth architect J. J. Kane. Built of native limestone in a High Victorian Gothic and Italianate style, it features an off-center clock tower and corner turret roofs and is among the oldest Texas county courthouses still in continuous use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and a 2005-2007 restoration reconstructed the original clock tower and the four corner roof turrets that had been removed in 1935.
