History
The Bosque County Collection is a local-history library, archive, and research center established in 1983 and operated by the Bosque County Historical Commission in Meridian. It occupies the historic Lumpkin Building, an 1884 rock structure across from the courthouse that was the first stone commercial building erected in Meridian and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Its holdings include family histories, genealogies, early government records, photographs, and manuscript collections documenting the county's past.
