History

The Wilson Homesite is one of the historic properties documenting the Norwegian settlement of Bosque County northwest of Clifton. The site reflects the pioneer farming life of the Norse community, which grew after 1854 into the largest Norwegian colony west of the Mississippi River. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983.
