History
The Bryan Carnegie Library opened in 1903, funded by a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie that was secured largely through the efforts of the local Woman's Club. The Classical Revival building was designed by F. E. Giesecke, professor of architecture and college architect at Texas A&M. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and later served as a community history center.
