History

Roberts Cemetery — also called the Baugh or Baugh-Roberts Cemetery — is an abandoned but fenced burial ground about seven miles north of Brownwood on FM 2125. It contains the oldest marked grave in Brown County, that of Pency D. Baugh (1861), and by local tradition holds eleven people who met violent deaths, some during Brown County's fence-cutting war of 1883–1888.
