History

Jones Chapel Cemetery, near Early in Brown County, was established on land donated in 1870 by Cody Jones out of the J. Duckworth Survey. The small burial ground holds roughly 180 recorded graves of early settlers and their descendants and is recognized with a Texas historical marker.
