History
The Roper Hotel in Marble Falls was built around 1888 by George and Elizabeth Roper and became a popular stop for visiting businessmen and dignitaries in the growing town. The two-story building later operated under other names, including the Central Hotel and the Francis House. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1981.
