History

Corinth Cemetery began in 1880 when Dr. William Wallace McNeill and his wife Elizabeth Ann deeded land near Linden to the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, for a church, school, and burial ground. A number of unmarked graves represent its earliest burials, the Corinth Cemetery Association was formed in 1974, and a Texas Historical Marker was awarded to the cemetery in 1992.
