History

Rock Hill Restland Cemetery, also recorded as Rockhill Cemetery, is an African American burial ground in the Reese community near Jacksonville in northwestern Cherokee County, on the north side of US Highway 175 across from Reese Cemetery. It is associated with Rock Hill Baptist Church, which was organized in 1897, and its earliest marked graves date to about 1902. The cemetery remains in use and is tended by the local community.
