History

Fairview Cemetery, also known as Bronte Cemetery, is the main burial ground for the town of Bronte in southern Coke County; a sign over its entrance reads "Fairview Cemetery 1924." It is divided into an older east section and a newer western portion and today holds roughly 2,500 graves.
