History
McMillen Cemetery near Murphy in Collin County sits on land once owned by Comfort A. and Lydia McMillen, Arkansas emigrants who reached the area in 1846 and helped found the Corinth Presbyterian Church that same year. Established in 1901, the roughly one-and-three-quarter-acre burial ground was deeded to the church and remains maintained by that congregation. It received a Historic Texas Cemetery designation and a state marker in 2012.
