History

Richard Cemetery, also written Richards Cemetery, takes its name from the Richards family that settled this part of northern Collin County near Weston. Weston, laid out in 1850 by Larkin Adamson, is one of the county's oldest towns, and this roadside family burial ground reflects the area's mid-19th-century settlement.
