History

Pike Cemetery serves the Pike community in far northeast Collin County, a farming settlement established in the early 1860s that gained a post office in 1885 and by 1900 supported two churches, a Masonic lodge, several stores, and a cotton gin. The cemetery received local residents including a soldier whose body was returned home for burial after World War I.
