History

Brune Cemetery is a German-heritage family burial ground on the south side of FM 1890 (Shaw's Bend Road) in Colorado County, named for the Brune family who settled the area. Its earliest recorded death dates to 1895, and among its roughly 240 interments are Herman Brune Sr. (1854-1931) and Ernst Brune, who died in 1917 while serving in World War I.
