History

Laas Cemetery is a tiny family burial ground named for the Laas family of Colorado County. Its preservation is documented in a deed dated November 2, 1901, in which a landowner sold the surrounding property to Henry L. Rathke while expressly reserving 'the Graveyard lot 22 x 40 ft.' Only two burials are recorded there.
