History

Van Slyke Cemetery, also known as Spring Hill, is an 1883 pioneer burial ground in the countryside north of Lindsay and Gainesville in Cooke County. It contains about 63 graves dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Texas Historical Commission designated it a Historic Texas Cemetery with a marker in 2005.
