History
The City County Heritage Museum in Paducah preserves the heritage of Cottle County, which was created in 1876, organized in 1892, and named for Alamo defender George Washington Cottle. Its collections include antique farm tools, community memorabilia, household items, and dinosaur tusks unearthed in the county. The museum occupies the former Quanah, Acme & Pacific Railroad depot and includes an exhibit on the original Marlboro Man, a Cottle County cowboy.
