History
The Ralls Historical Museum occupies a historic bank building erected by town founder J.R. Ralls in the small farming community 28 miles east of Lubbock. Opened in 1966 under Pauline Watkins, a niece of J.R. Ralls, the museum was formally dedicated by Governor Preston Smith in March 1970. Its roughly 15,000 artifacts include a solid-silver saddle, Native American relics, early settler household and farm items, and an inaugural ball gown.
