History
The Harlan Building, built in 1914 on Cadiz Street on the edge of the Dallas Farmers Market, is the oldest and most architecturally distinctive of the district's surviving public market structures. The two-story deep-violet brick agricultural warehouse, with a 1926 annex, features cast-stone and patterned brickwork on its Cadiz Street facade. Designated a Dallas Landmark in 1988 and listed on the National Register in 2004, it was rehabilitated into a mixed-use retail and residential development.
