History

The Mary Kay Museum occupies 3,500 square feet on the ground floor of Mary Kay Inc.'s world headquarters in Addison, preserving the history of the cosmetics company that Texas entrepreneur Mary Kay Ash founded in 1963 with $5,000 in savings. Self-guided exhibits display starter kits through the decades, company memorabilia, Mary Kay's first checkbook, and a collection of the Victor Costa-designed gowns she wore. A 40-seat theater screens films about Ash and the company.
