History

Penn Farm Agricultural History Center lies within Cedar Hill State Park on land settled in 1854 by John Anderson Penn, whose family grazed cattle and horses in the Cedar Mountains of southwest Dallas County for over a century. The center preserves reconstructed and historic farm buildings from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s across roughly 70 acres. It pays tribute to the vanishing Texas family farm through self-guided and docent-led tours.
