History

The History of Aviation Archives at UT Dallas's Eugene McDermott Library in Richardson is the largest section of the university's Special Collections, a world-class aeronautical archive rooted in George Haddaway's donated collection. It is the official repository for Civil Air Transport (CAT) and Air America and holds the personal papers of General James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle, including his Medal of Honor. The archives also hold the papers of Navy airship commander Vice Admiral Charles E. Rosendahl.
