History
Perry Cemetery is the oldest burial ground associated with the town of Carrollton in Dallas County. It opened in 1896 with the burial of Sarah Huffman Perry, and her husband A. W. Perry formally deeded the land in February 1897; the adjacent Union Baptist Church land was added to the cemetery around 1911. Most of its roughly 480 graves belong to pioneer families, and the Texas Historical Commission erected a marker here in 1976.
